Good Morning & Happy Sunday! I normally do not write on Sundays. That’s my time to relax, reset, and refocus. When I woke up this morning, I had this one thing on my mind. A little voice telling me to write this post.
All of my content comes from experience and research. I started a 90-day series to learn why we have so many free online tools available to us at any time but we can’t afford groceries? We can’t afford to keep our homes? I’m not going to touch healthcare. I don’t care how much money you earn per month, the cost of healthcare is ridiculous.
Here’s the thing. You can earn a small fortune if you get good at one thing: solving problems. Yes, you can get good at it the same way you get good at anything else. You practice. Practice breeds excellence, not perfection. There’s a reason why some people are labeled experts at what they do.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. You can start small and start simple. Easy, quick fixes can easily earn you an extra $500 a week. How? Okay, let me drop some examples.
Example 1
Some people seem to have trouble keeping track of their finances. Well, there’s Rocket Money. An app that does that for you. But do people need another subscription to keep track of their subscriptions? Perhaps. But if they can’t afford that, then perhaps a simple budget spreadsheet would suffice. That’s two problems solved with one product. 1. They need a way to track their money 2. They don’t want a subscription.
Example 2
You want to sell digital products but you think there’s too much competition. Everyone is selling the same thing. Perhaps. So how do you set yourself apart? Use Example 1. You have a budget spreadsheet. A product that helps people keep track of their money but what if you can enhance it? Enhance it in such a way that is super useful to the buyer? Such as a Credit Score Re-Builder Tracker. I’m a freelancer in real estate. I know for a fact, people need help with re-building their credit. And they can do this themselves with a simple tracker. This is a product that I do not see oversaturated but should be. LOL!
Think outside the box. I’m approaching fifty years old and have no desire to create videos. So, to solve that, I started a blog. Slower reach, but makes me money and keeps me happy. Does that mean, I’ll never make a video. No. It just means I’m not there yet. LOL!
I hate shopping for clothes. Hate it! To solve this, I work out regularly and follow a diet that doesn’t make me miserable.
I didn’t finish college. To solve this, I read a lot. I mean, total book nerd! I love learning. I stay hungry for knowledge.
In the beginning, I didn’t see where I would find time to start a blog, let alone keep up with it. To solve this, I get up early and go to bed early. No exceptions.
To solve my own problems, I had to be disciplined. Discipline starts in the mind. I had to first change my habits in order to change my life. No exceptions. I drilled that into my head over and over because I needed and wanted change badly.
You have to think outside the box to stand out in a saturated market. Get good at solving problems in your own life and you can solve problems anywhere.
You do this one thing, you can earn a small fortune or perhaps go even further.
