Many business owners assume that if nobody is buying, the problem must be their product.
Sometimes that’s true.
But more often, potential customers are interested—they just haven’t overcome their objections yet.
An objection is simply a reason someone gives themselves not to buy.
The good news?
Most objections are predictable. I call them excuses. Let me share how I overcome these.
Objection #1: “It’s Too Expensive”
This doesn’t always mean the price is too high.
It often means the value isn’t clear.
Instead of lowering my price, I simply explain the outcome.
For example:
Instead of saying:
“Purchase my Landing Page Template”
I say:
“Use this template to collect leads, book appointments, and promote your services online.”
I shift their focus from cost to value. This is now a product that solves a clear problem.
Objection #2: “I Need More Time”
Most people don’t need more time.
They need more certainty.
Help them understand what happens next.
I show screenshots and provide examples of transformation.
In other words, this is your business now and this could be your business after.
If they’re still not ready, I just send them a free offer and they can decide later.
This takes the pressure off to buy and they can learn more about my business and get a feel of what I can offer.
The more confidence people have, the easier it is to make a decision.
Objection #3: “Will This Work For Me?”
This is one of the most common objections online.
People want proof. I share my experience and show how the product or service solves a specific problem.
The more specific I am, the more trust I build.
Objection #4: “I Can Do It Myself”
They’re probably right.
But how long will it take?
A good product doesn’t replace effort.
It saves time.
People often pay for speed, convenience, and simplicity.
Objection #5: “I’m Not Ready Yet”
Sometimes this means:
“I’m interested, but I don’t fully understand the benefits.”
This means I need to continue educating.
